Upon arriving in Cochin, you'll begin your scenic drive to Munnar, which takes around 4-5 hours. Munnar is a charming hill station nestled in the Western Ghats, renowned for its lush tea plantations and cool climate. Once you reach Munnar, check in at your hotel and relax. In the evening, you can explore Munnar Town, where you’ll find vibrant local markets and street vendors offering various tea products and souvenirs. You can also stroll through the town, enjoying the refreshing breeze and tranquil atmosphere.
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a full day of exploration in Munnar. Start with a Visit to the Mattupetty Dam, where you can take a boat ride on the reservoir, surrounded by dense forests and rolling hills. The serene environment is perfect for some quiet moments of reflection. In the afternoon, visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history of Munnar’s tea plantations and the process of tea production. The museum is located near the Kannan Devan Hills and offers fascinating insights into Munnar’s tea culture. If you have time, stop by Attukal Waterfalls or Echo Point for a quick nature fix.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and prepare for an adventurous day. Explore the famous Spice Plantations, learning about Kerala’s aromatic spices. Enjoy a boating experience on Periyar Lake (optional and chargeable), which offers opportunities to spot wildlife in the surrounding Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.

On this day, you’ll embark on an early-morning adventure to Gavi Trip (Chargeable), a stunning village nestled within the Periyar Tiger Reserve. The trip starts at 5:30 AM, taking you on a journey through the forest, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the natural landscape. Gavi is known for its pristine environment, rich wildlife, and rare bird species. The forest area is home to elephants, wild boars, and various birds, making it a paradise for
nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. During the day, you’ll stop at spots like Gavi Lake, where you can take in the scenic beauty and observe the region's unique flora and fauna. The trip will include breakfast and lunch, allowing you to enjoy a meal while surrounded by nature’s tranquillity. After a day filled with natural beauty, you'll return to Thekkady in the late afternoon.
After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey to Kumarakom, a serene backwater destination located by the Vembanad Lake. The drive from Thekkady to Kumarakom takes around 4-5 hours, and upon arrival, you’ll check into your hotel and relax. In the Evening, enjoy a peaceful houseboat cruise through the tranquil backwaters. The 1-hour cruise will give you a chance to unwind while gliding through the calm waters, passing by lush green landscapes, quaint villages, and traditional Kerala life. The backwaters are dotted with coconut groves and tropical greenery, providing a picturesque setting to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. After the cruise, spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in the serene atmosphere of Kumarakom.
On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading back to Cochin, you'll be transferred to the airport for your departure, marking the end of your memorable Kerala trip.
