Arrive in Cochin and begin your journey by exploring the beautiful city. Visit the Chinese Fishing Nets at Fort Kochi, one of the most iconic sights of the city. Take a stroll through the historical Fort Kochi Beach, and explore the quaint streets filled with colonial-era buildings. Don’t miss the Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, which showcases Kerala’s royal history with murals and antiques. Head over to the Paradesi Synagogue in the Jew Town area, the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth. Overnight stay at the Hotel in Cochin.
After breakfast, drive to Munnar, a picturesque hill station nestled in the Western Ghats. On the way, enjoy scenic views of lush landscapes, tea gardens, and spice plantations. Upon arrival, take a leisurely walk through the tea plantations, where you can learn about the tea-making process and enjoy the refreshing breeze. You can visit Mattupetty Dam and the nearby Echo Point, where you can enjoy boating or simply relax and soak in the natural beauty. In the evening, unwind at a cozy café overlooking the valleys.
Start your day with a visit the Tea Museum to learn about Munnar’s tea history, from cultivation to the present-day tea industry. If you're up for it, a visit to the Attukal Waterfalls or the Nyayamakad Waterfalls offers a refreshing escape into nature. Spend your evening exploring the town or relaxing in the cool mountain air.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and prepare for an adventurous day. Explore the famous Spice Plantations, learning about Kerala’s aromatic spices. Enjoy a boating experience on Periyar Lake (optional and chargeable), which offers opportunities to spot wildlife in the surrounding Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Optional activities include a Jeep Safari (optional and chargeable) through the dense forests, an Elephant Ride (optional and chargeable), and attending a Kathakali performance or a Kalaripayattu martial arts show (optional and chargeable). Overnight stay at the hotel in Thekkady.
On this day, you’ll embark on an early-morning adventure to Gavi Trip (Chargeable), a stunning village nestled within the Periyar Tiger Reserve. The trip starts at 5:30 AM, taking you on a journey through the forest, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the natural landscape. Gavi is known for its pristine environment, rich wildlife, and rare bird species. The forest area is home to elephants, wild boars, and various birds, making it a paradise for
nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. During the day, you’ll stop at spots like Gavi Lake, where you can take in the scenic beauty and observe the region's unique flora and fauna. The trip will include breakfast and lunch, allowing you to enjoy a meal while surrounded by nature’s tranquillity. After a day filled with natural beauty, you'll return to Thekkady in the late afternoon.
After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey to Kumarakom, a serene backwater destination located by the Vembanad Lake. The drive from Thekkady to Kumarakom takes around 4-5 hours, and upon arrival, you’ll check into your hotel and relax. In the Evening, enjoy a peaceful houseboat cruise through the tranquil backwaters. The 1-hour cruise will give you a chance to unwind while gliding through the calm waters, passing by lush green landscapes, quaint villages, and traditional Kerala life. The backwaters are dotted with coconut groves and tropical greenery, providing a picturesque setting to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. After the cruise, spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in the serene atmosphere of Kumarakom.
On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast check out from the hotel and leave hotel by 9:00am and head back to Cochin, you'll be transferred to the airport at 13:00pm for your departure, marking the end of your memorable Kerala trip. (if you want to get transferred before or after that it will be Charged extra)
